Outreach Programs
- Kids Hope is a Church/school partnership through one-on-one mentoring
relationships with at-risk elementary school children one hour per week.
One child. One hour. One church. One school.
- Stephen Ministry links trained Church members with people who are in need
of ongoing care and support.
- Men's Calling Committee is a group that visits Church members who are in
nursing facilities or confined at home.
- 12 Steps to Recovery is a 12 step Bible based program designed to help people reach
their personal recovery goals. Meets on Tuesday at 7pm and Friday at 10am, at the Church.
- G.E.D. Ministry uses volunteers to teach reading and other skills necessary
for achieving the General Education Diploma.
- Community Table is a network of Manistee churches that provide free meals on
Tuesdays from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Volunteers needed to cook and serve.
- Angel Food Ministries distributes discounted groceries in the community. Volunteers
needed to take orders, register customers, pick up and distribute food.
- Manistee Area Community Clinic is a walk-in clinic open 6:00-8:00p.m. on
Tuesdays at the County Health Department. Volunteers and donations needed.
- Love, In The Name of Christ assists families in Manistee and Benzie Counties with
the costs for utilities, food, housing, clothing, and childcare. MUMC helps with a free meal on
Thursdays at the Family Life Center.
- Greeters meet and give a warm welcome to everyone attending our worship services.
- Mission Trips-Red Bird Mission Work Camp Trip to Beverly, Ky., Aug. 22-28, 2010.
Honduras Mission Trip is planned for 2011.
